{Craft Fix} Recycled Crayons

I've been seeing lots of tutorials on melting and remolding crayons lately. And since the bays have a ton of old broken crayons I thought this would be a great project to do with them.

First we had to dig out all the broken crayons from the crayon box.

Then we had to remove the paper wrappers from each,

And separate them by color into a mini muffin tin.

Next I melted the crayons in the oven at 275 degrees for 10 mins,
then let them cool and set completely before removing them from the muffin tin.

They turned out really well.  The boys loved them and they are a perfect fit for Avon's little hands.

What a fun little project.

  1. What a lovely craft idea! I've seen some artwork with melting crayons on canvas and they are gorgeous for any kid's room :)
